The Bruins are hot right now. They’re currently on a four game win streak. In the month of February they didn’t have one regulation loss. On their recent West coast swing they came out with nine out of a possible ten points. And this is all without their top goal scorer David Pastrnak. I’m so proud of this team but want to know what’s even hotter? Their 👏 social 👏 media 👏 game. Specifically Marchand and Krug. Let’s take a look back at some recent quality Twitter exchanges between the two. I’m only going back to the beginning of 2019 (I don’t have that much time on my hands) but even going back two months the content is quality.

Everyone Loves Bergy

After (Saint) Patrice Bergeron played his 1,000th game in the NHL, Marchand obviously showed his line mate some love on Twitter and Krug tried to jump in and ruin it. But then Marchand put him on blast.

Sleepover Party

One night Krug was feeling spicy and jumped in on a Twitter exchange Marchand was having with the official NHL Twitter account. An offer for a sleepover party followed (including bath time ?). No word on if the sleepover party or the bath ever happened.

 

Honestly, there were no losers in this one. Only winners. Except Charlie McAvoy, who Marchand said looks like Sloth from The Goonies.

Marchand blessed us all by announcing he’s launching his official Instagram on Friday. We can only hope this exchange gets taken to Instagram and continues. I expect more chirps and dank memes (?). Speaking of dank memes, quick honorable mention to Jake DeBrusk and his understated Instagram comments and captions. They’re low-key good. I am not too proud to talk up his game even though he ignored me after practice once.
